Polyurethane concrete raising uses a durable foam that is injected under the concrete slab. This foam is injected as a liquid and rapidly sets into an expanded foam material, filling any voids and raising the concrete surface. After only 15 seconds, it will reach its final volume. After curing, the polyurethane foam will never lose its density. After installed, the foam is permanent and weighs about 2 lbs. per cubic foot.

Polyurethane Concrete Raising and Void Filling

Settled concrete is often a result of poor soil conditions beneath the slab. Polyurethane concrete raising material is lightweight, so that it will not add an increased burden to weakened soil. After the concrete slab has been raised, the only visible evidence of the repair will be the injection holes.

Polyurethane has a clear advantage over traditional mud jacking material thanks to its lightweight nature, fewer number of holes and smaller hole size. Polyurethane foam is perfect for joint stabilization, as it fills and stabilizes concrete to avoid vibrations and rocking. This advanced material is lightweight, but vulnerable to sunlight. NOVA Foam Concrete Leveling applies the foam underneath of the surface so that it never loses density due to sunlight.

Our polyurethane concrete raising equipment is contained in one of our trucks and has a long hose to accommodate any size project. While polyurethane is a better option than mud jacking, the process is very similar. Polyurethane expands as it is pumped in, so it can cover a larger surface area in a smaller amount of time.
